His voice was frantic over the phone. \u201cI can\u2019t stop the reporters! How am I going to walk into the High Court without anyone seeing me? I\u2019ll never be able to do business in Singapore again.\u201d<\/p>\n

I gazed in silence at my cards; a Tarot card spread stared back at me dully. Justice reversed, The Tower, Ten of Swords, The Magician reversed<\/em>. I\u2019d read the Tarot for Hardi over the past three years as he fought with Yosef, his former business partner. Hardi had trusted Yosef too much and ended up losing control of their business ventures; Yosef took money that wasn\u2019t his and stashed it away in overseas investments. Now Hardi was fighting back for justice, but several concerning legal issues meant that even if Hardi won, his reputation might not survive the inevitable media scrutiny.<\/p>\n

Reversed Justice<\/em>: a miscarriage of justice. The Tower<\/em>: an unexpected upheaval. Ten of Swords<\/em>: ruin, defeat, futility. The reversed Magician<\/em>: Yosef not only was seeking to destroy Hardi in Court and in the public eye, but was also using black magic to end his life. I\u2019ve had enough close brushes with Indonesian black magic to tell you that this stuff is vicious.<\/p>\n

The black magic was a relatively new development. In the last few weeks, Hardi began experiencing heart palpitations at night. He also started seeing shadows moving towards him from the corner of his eyes. He\u2019d checked with doctors and undergone the necessary scans (as I advised him, rule out medical causes before drawing mystical conclusions).<\/p>\n

His doctors and therapist found nothing wrong with his physical or mental health. But when he updated me and I tuned in, the death curse against him was clear as day in his energy field. It manifested as a dark plume of smoke that slithered and clung to him, slowly crushing his rib cage.<\/p>\n

Yosef was clearly frustrated that Hardi still hadn\u2019t surrendered despite years of manipulation and intimidation. This fight had gone far beyond a quest for justice. Yosef now wanted vengeance and had resorted to underhanded, violent tactics. Hardi and his family endured years of stalking, harassment, vandalism of the family home by unseen invaders, and now this curse against Hardi.<\/p>\n

Things didn\u2019t have to be this bad. Unfortunately, Hardi and his wife Nadira initially didn\u2019t listen to my advice. They didn\u2019t cut ties with certain people whom I\u2019d identified as hidden enemies in their community \u2013 those people then leaked Hardi\u2019s personal information to Yosef and helped worsen the attacks. Hardi also declined my offer of protection prayers and rituals at first, which would have warded off the death curse. Still, there\u2019s no use crying over spilt milk, and now it was time to fight back. Thankfully, Hardi was open to advice.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaby is safe for now. At least you cut off those problematic people before Nadira conceived. If Yosef had discovered you were going to be a father, the curse would have been directed at your child too. I\u2019m pretty sure of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow much longer before this curse takes effect?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou probably have a couple of weeks left. I\u2019ll need to contact my teacher for help. Let\u2019s bring out the big guns.\u201d<\/p>\n

Informing my teacher and arranging a ritual to reverse the black magic attack against Hardi took less than a day. Magic, especially black magic, isn\u2019t going to sit around and wait for people to be convinced it exists. If an intended victim wastes time by denying the existence of the occult, all the better for the practitioner who was hired to cause harm. Also, my teacher and I are old-school Spiritual workers: we don\u2019t talk, we act. And we certainly don\u2019t waste time. (Becoming more open on the internet has been, and continues to be, a big paradigm shift for me.)<\/p>\n

The ritual went well: no fuss, no drama. The Goddess manifested in the fire we set up for Her, and She accepted the offerings. Hardi couldn\u2019t attend, so we sent him videos. After the ritual, my teacher said: \u201cThe Goddess has spoken. Tell Hardi that the curse is broken. The media will be blinded to this court case. Victory belongs to him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The day came. Yosef had appealed against a previous judgement, so Hardi\u2019s physical appearance in the High Court was necessary. He promised to update, and he did via text:<\/p>\n

The text reads: “Good evening. Wanted to give u [sic] an update on my situation with [name redacted]. It was the absolute best outcome for me. The appeal to high court yesterday was over in 15 min. The judge asked for points to be highlighted and all the points of law were instantly dismissed. The name of the victim ie me and the address were not even mentioned in court. Even more surprising no court reporters were present. There will be almost certainly no written judgment as the judge did not impose a higher sentence which means he would have to write his judgment. Thanks”<\/p>\n

How it ended: Yosef went to jail. Hardi\u2019s heart palpitations and dark apparitions vanished immediately after the ritual, and he\u2019s been perfectly fine since. Nadira gave birth to a healthy baby boy. And now the family prays to the Goddess.<\/p>\n
