Despite being associated with water, Aquarius is actually a Fixed Air sign. In the zodiac, the element of Air is connected with communication and the intellect; a Fixed sign has the added benefits of loyalty and tenacity.
The symbol of Aquarius, the Water-Bearer, highlights the humanitarian nature of this sign’s energies and gives us a clue as to how we can make the most out of the next four weeks. The Water-Bearer carries water, a necessity for life, not only to benefit himself but also those around him. The Water-Bearer seeks the greatest and highest good for all, working selflessly to co-create a progressive and egalitarian society. Even the apparent limitations of this sign can become strengths if wielded wisely. Aquarius is not the best at emotional connection, for instance. While this isn’t an ideal trait in itself, we all stand to gain when we take a less emotional and more cerebral, yet compassionate approach to addressing the many complex issues that are a huge part of 21st-century living.
So let this weekend be the start of a new and progressive you! The next four weeks are an ideal time to ramp up your participation in a worthy cause (or to start, if you’ve always been thinking about it). Yay activism and civil engagement!
