This week’s big shift of note in the skies is the Mercury Retrograde from 7 to 31 July 2019. When Mercury (the planetary ruler of communication, travel, and technology) retrogrades, you are advised to take extra care with the following: travel plans, purchasing electronic goods, signing contracts, carrying out important communications, etc. But you’re going to be fine if you already are making the right choices – and, of course, when wouldn’t you be?

So much depends on how well you understand the fact that you may not be able to control everything around you (and, really, you shouldn’t have to), but you can control yourself: what you choose, how you respond, and why you do what you do – these things are up to you.

LEFT: PAGE OF WANDS REVERSED. This spread begins with a warning – petty saboteurs are out and about. Watch out for those around you who are prone to petty gossip and backstabbing, who love lies and drama, and whose own lives are a complete mess – but still, they’d rather try to destroy other people than fix themselves.
No need to feel sorry for them – a close and objective evaluation will reveal that these people create their own dramas, and feed off the negativity. Essentially, they sabotage themselves and other people because they have nothing else to live for, and they don’t want to be helped out of their rut – yes, these people exist. When this card appears, such people may be trying to get at you. Don’t let them.
The best way of dealing with such people is simply to cut all ties, ignore their attention-seeking tactics, and move on. If it’s not possible at the moment (if, for instance, the reversed Page of Wands is your co-worker or family member), detach yourself from the situation as much as you can, and limit communication. You want to minimise opportunities for them to start trouble.
If they’ve already started trouble, the next card holds your answer as to what you can do about it.
MIDDLE: KNIGHT OF SWORDS. This card represents acting in a completely rational manner, and communicating clearly in a way that cuts to the chase. No need for niceties. Get to the point, present the truth of the matter (which the reversed Page of Wands has been hiding or twisting all this while), then get on with your life.
The Knight of Swords isn’t the most chatty personality, is allergic to bullshit, and isn’t afraid to use his sword if people around him persist in deception and delusion. This is a very good energy to take on when you’re dealing with people who don’t want to face the truth.
Having said that, this Knight also represents the element of Air, which symbolises fast and decisive action. Take his advice and don’t waste time with people who won’t listen. Do what’s needed, say your piece and move on.
RIGHT: THE FOOL REVERSED. And why move on instead of staying to fight it out? Because the final card means that some people in the situation you’re facing are simply, incurably, incorrigibly stupid AF. (Make sure this isn’t you.)
The worst kind of Fool is the one who presumes they’re very smart, has an opinion of everyone and everything, but can’t even get their own lives together. This is precisely the kind of person who will want to drag out drama because they want to watch a good show, and because they want to inflict their stupid viewpoints on anyone who will listen. These people like to feel important, but have nothing to contribute to the situation. Do not allow them to – you’re only wasting your time.

This week, the Goddess will show Her favour to Her chosen one: the one who has worked hard since young… rising up the ranks through one’s sheer effort. This divination lot reminds us that the Goddess sees all, and rewards us according to our karma – which, translated into English, simply means action.
Truth is often harder to take than a lie. Compassion is a tougher path than selfishness. Honour and integrity require that we pay the price by doing what’s right, even when it hurts. But when we make the right choices, the Goddess promises to watch over us, and She will surely bestow Her blessing.
True Spirituality is simple: make the right choices, be consistent in your efforts, and success is yours. And take responsibility for yourself – don’t make excuses or overthink when you already know what to do, and have the means to accomplish it.
