Just a quick note that the Moon is waning this week and Mercury is retrograde – it’s a good time to end cycles, release the old, and reflect on how things have turned out so far in 2020. This is an intense year so far and I am loving it! Work with these energies of massive transformation – don’t run from them, where can you hide from the Universe anyway? – and your life will be taken to another level altogether. Trust.

Now let’s get to the reading!

LEFT: TEN OF CUPS. As the first card which anchors the theme of the reading, this is a pretty awesome card to get. The Ten of Cups represents the Happy Ever After, a time of complete emotional fulfilment (often shared with friends and family). When we choose a heart of gratitude, there’s always cause for celebration.

MIDDLE: TWO OF PENTACLES. Like it or not, some degree of multi-tasking and juggling different priorities could be taking place this week. There’s a measure of stress when this card appears, but it’s nothing you can’t handle. Some of you could be travelling this week – despite the current Mercury retrograde, this card bodes well for a successful trip.

RIGHT: KNIGHT OF SWORDS. The Suit of Swords symbolises logic, thought, and communication; Knights represent action, and are the executives of each Tarot Court. The appearance of the Knight of Swords this week is a reminder that the best way to get what you want is just to go for it – in a way that is sharp, focused, and strategic. (Swords can be a sneaky suit… but sneaky in a good way.)

With the Knight of Swords, be clear about what you want, and go for it. This being the Mercury retrograde, avoid starting entirely new projects, but there’s no harm in moving forward strongly in a venture you’ve already begun (preferably before the retrograde started).

Unsheathed, the precious sword is radiant.
Its blade is pristine, untouched by dust or dirt.
A Noble One wields this valuable weapon;
His glory wins the acclaim of all.
(Trans. Tan Kelly)

Lot 29 is generally a positive omen. When this lot is drawn, a situation you’re facing could begin to unfold and move forward in a powerful way. This will be sparked off by some form of intervention, either Divine or human – certainly by someone in a position of authority. It’s also likely that the truth of a matter will be established, and the genuine worth of some people around you (including yourself) will be revealed.

Hang tight, folks. The Universe will be serving up some TRUTH for our highest and greatest good. The sword represents a weapon that discerns and distinguishes light from darkness, truth from lies, and reality from illusion. Some revelations may take you aback, but have no fear. What’s meant to be known will be made clear to you, and is destined for a greater purpose.

Have a great week ahead!
