On 23 April, Venus conjuncts Uranus; this is quickly followed up by Mercury conjunct Uranus on 24 April. Then, on 25 April, Venus and Mercury form their own respective squares with Saturn, in about 7.5 hours of each other.
A quick review:
- Venus = planetary ruler of relationships, beauty, and finances
- Mercury = planetary ruler of communication, tech, travel, and thought
- Uranus = energies associated with change, freedom, and disruption
- Saturn = energies associated with karma, rules, and boundaries
- The Saturn-Uranus square is THE power transit of 2021, so anyone messing around with Saturn or Uranus this year is essentially poking a very large and possibly grouchy bear
The Saturn-Uranus square highlights tensions between old and new, traditional and innovative, mainstream and unconventional. Throughout this year, the tensions between these two planets will form the astrological backdrop of everything we’re experiencing.
Play safe, or let it rip? Which values/beliefs are worth keeping, and which to drop? Who/What remains trustworthy, and who/what will reveal themselves to be unreliable?
Dear readers, what you’ve assumed so far to be safe ground could very well disappear under your feet in 2021 – and all for the highest good. Your job is to be flexible and open-minded when this happens.
With Venus and Mercury doing their thing around the Saturn-Uranus square, expect the unexpected around partnerships, money, and communications. LEFT: KING OF PENTACLES REVERSED. This week, financial and/or career matters could come to the forefront. There could be issues with money management; alternatively, someone isn’t being very responsible or reliable around you. Watch out for people who make big promises but fail to deliver. This is not a great week to invest or make major purchases, either. If you must, think it through very carefully, and go through the contract with a fine-toothed comb.
MIDDLE: QUEEN OF PENTACLES REVERSED. The theme of financial/physical instability continues with the reversed Queen of Pentacles. If your bank account hasn’t been looking so good lately, this is a good week to find out why – and to create effective solutions to the issues you’re facing.
At work or at home, watch out for someone whose insecurity causes them to sabotage others. This could be a mother figure or boss who plays favourites, for instance.
RIGHT: QUEEN OF SWORDS REVERSED. When this card appears, be vigilant – but think before you speak. Weigh the pros and cons before you draw your sword and prepare for battle. But never, ever keep your eyes off the people and situations you are facing at the moment. Things could change. You’ll need to be patient. But the situation you’re facing is going to improve in time.
