Hi there! I’m Kelly, the resident Tarotologist for Singapore Brides. Every month, I’ll be offering you a Tarotology (that’s Tarot + astrology + numerology and yes, I made that word up) report where I pull out one Tarot card for each zodiac sign. I then read the Universal energies for your month ahead, focusing on your love life and wedding preparations. I also highlight one significant day in the month – I call it your BridePride Day – where I give you the heads up on how to work with Universal energies, ace those wedding plans, and enhance your relationship with that incredibly important man in your life: your husband-to-be.

I keep my reports simple and straightforward. My focus is on love, light, and practical tips on self-empowerment for the modern bride. No weirdness or woo-woo stuff. If this is your kind of thing, excellent – check out Singapore Brides every month for your Tarotology report!

ARIES (21 MARCH – 19 APRIL): FIVE OF PENTACLES

Leave the fireworks for New Year’s celebrations… and out of your love life! Dear Aries, your card is the Five of Pentacles, which indicates possible tensions with the hubby-to-be that could escalate like wildfire. Stay calm, keep your focus on the big picture (you’re good at that, so work it!), and understand that arguments can be opportunities for growth in this relationship – take time-outs if necessary, and even if you end up fighting, fight fairly. There are some potential indications of over-spending as well, so watch the wedding budget. In love matters, your BridePride Day is 28 January. On that day, your ruling planet Mars swaggers into Aries and brings out the best in you. Assert your sizzling, sexy self and get hubby-to-be hot under the collar, the right way!

TAURUS (20 APRIL – 20 MAY): NINE OF PENTACLES

Dear Taurus, good news for you: your card is the Nine of Pentacles, meaning that Universal energies are on your side if you’re thinking of making any major decisions about your wedding. You’re likely to make good choices, and be on the receiving end of some wonderful opportunities that will make you – and your wedding – look and feel like a million dollars. Just be sure to read the contracts carefully, and get your hubby-to-be to engage actively in the decision-making process. Your BridePride Day is 23 January, straight after the latest Mercury retrograde and its two-week shadow period that affected your house of intimate relationships. Expect miscommunications and issues with jealousy or personal space to clear up, and not a moment too soon.

GEMINI (21 MAY – 20 JUNE): KNIGHT OF SWORDS

Have you been struggling with decisions over wedding and relationship matters, dear Gemini? Here’s something to look forward to! Your card for this month is the Knight of Swords, which encourages taking action and making choices in a strategic, logical manner. It might help to set down a checklist of criteria and/or a to-do list so your actions (and the people around you) can keep up with your lightning-quick mind – and help you make the best choices! Love-wise, your BridePride Day falls on 12 January, where the Sun squares lucky Jupiter in your romance sector. It’s an interesting day for some Knight-of-Swords boldness. Remember, though, to emulate this sharp-witted Knight and think before you speak – your words can carry greater power than you imagine.

CANCER (21 JUNE – 22 JULY): FOUR OF RODS

Dear Cancer, what’s foremost on your heart and mind is the establishment of house and home, and the dream is closer than ever. Your card for January 2017 is the Four of Rods, known as the wedding card (but of course). This card is also associated with success in house moves and renovations. If you’ve been worrying yourself into a tizzy over wedding and housing matters, consider this card an encouraging sign from the Universe that it’s going to be okay. Deep breaths! Step by step, you will get there. This month, your BridePride Day is 12 January. The first Full Moon of 2017 is in Cancer, intensifying emotions especially with family, loved ones and hubby-to-be. Celebrate your special ties, and balance out your tender heart with firm, loving boundaries.

LEO (23 JULY – 22 AUGUST): KING OF RODS

2017 is the year of new beginnings and perspectives, dear Leo, and that’s probably why your card to start the year is the very embodiment of visionary – the King of Rods himself. Whatever plans you make for your wedding or married life, don’t limit yourself. Be spontaneous and versatile: take charge of whatever you can, and go with the flow when things are out of your hands. Your drive and enthusiasm are infectious, and you’re more than likely to get your way; just remember that love is a two-way street, and let hubby-to-be have his say… sometimes. Your BridePride Day is 1 January, when steamy Mars meets dreamy Neptune in your house of intimacy – oooh! You could spend this New Year’s Day re-connecting with the hubby-to-be in an unforgettable celebration.

VIRGO (23 AUGUST – 22 SEPTEMBER): FOUR OF SWORDS

With your high expectations and perfectionist standards, dear Virgo, it can be easy to fall into the trap of over-thinking – especially when it’s something dear to your heart (like your relationships), or something that occurs only once in a lifetime (like your wedding). The Four of Swords is your card for this month, here to remind you gently that you need to let go and practice mindful detachment from what you can’t fix. Your peace of mind is important! So is self-care: get yourself a nice message or some retail therapy, stat. This month, your BridePride Day is 11 January: Venus, planetary ruler of love, is in your house of committed relationships from 3 January to 3 February. Take time out for a romantic date to remind yourselves why you’re getting hitched!

LIBRA (23 SEPTEMBER – 22 OCTOBER): QUEEN OF PENTACLES

Dear Libra, you’re doing well! You just need to tweak some details and draw boundaries where necessary. The Queen of Pentacles is your card for January: she exemplifies care and nurture for others, indicating successful relationships and a wedding celebration your guests will be raving about! Here’s where you might need to draw the line, though. In your circle, you’re often a source of emotional and social support; all the more you need time out to nurture and recharge yourself. Wedding-planning wise, learn to say No and ask for help from others when the situation calls for it. This month, your BridePride Day is 27 January: the New Moon in your sexy fifth house injects some oomph into your relationship. It’s also the first day of the Chinese New Year, so usher in the Fire Rooster with some, ahem, cocky charm of your own.

SCORPIO (23 OCTOBER – 21 NOVEMBER): TEN OF CUPS

You’re a deep well of emotions and fiercely loyal to those you love, dear Scorpio, so you’ll be glad to know that your card for this month is the Ten of Cups. This card indicates love, harmony and fidelity in your relationships, but also asks the question: are there some lingering trust issues you might need to deal with before you say I do? Best to work them out with your hubby-to-be when the opportunity arises; don’t let the unspoken things undermine your relationship and impending nuptials. Your BridePride Day falls on 12 January, when passionate Venus unites with idealistic Neptune in your house of romance. Plan some couple time and bond with your hubby-to-be.

SAGITTARIUS (22 NOVEMBER – 21 DECEMBER): THE STAR

Things are definitely looking up for you, dear Sagittarius! This month’s card for you is The Star: it indicates luck, hope, and a brighter future ahead for you and your boo. The Universe is smiling on you and yours; ride the positive energy of this card and build on your relationships, especially with your future husband. Your natural charm and lucky streak aren’t likely to run out soon, so long as you play your cards right. Careful with your words, though: think twice before you say something that could be interpreted very differently! This month, your BridePride Day falls on 19 January, when a Mars-Saturn square in Sagittarius offers you an opportunity to iron out sensitive issues with emotional restraint and dignity, and without getting overly upset. You can do this!

CAPRICORN (22 DECEMBER – 19 JANUARY): THE CHARIOT

January is your special month and you’ve certainly got your mojo on, dear Capricorn! Your card is The Chariot, indicating that you’ll have your wedding prep mostly under control. Reach for the stars and don’t settle – but also remember to take time out for yourself and your relationship with hubby-to-be. Pace yourself as you get ready for your special day. Your drive to excel will get you your dream wedding – just don’t run your Chariot into the ground! Love-wise, your BridePride Day is 12 January, where a Full Moon rises in your relationship house, and Venus meets Neptune in Capricorn. Expect some emotional intensity; the energies are great for a romantic date and/or a frank, loving discussion about your future together.

AQUARIUS (20 JANUARY – 18 FEBRUARY): SIX OF SWORDS

If things haven’t exactly been smooth sailing for you in recent months, dear Aquarius, fret not, and don’t lose focus – your card for January 2017 is the Six of Swords, indicating change for the better. You and hubby are a team; take action to make change happen. If either one of you is also going through a major change in other areas (such as career), there’s no shame in offering or receiving help, support and assistance. Remember your vows: together for better or worse! In matters of the heart, your BridePride Day is 29 January: you’re two days into Aquarius season and Mars is in your communication house. Time to open your heart and re-connect. As your share your feelings, this could be a wonderful opportunity for you and hubby-to-be to act on those vows IRL.

PISCES (19 FEBRUARY – 20 MARCH): SEVEN OF PENTACLES

Have things been dragging out a little too long for your liking, dear Pisces? Your card this month is the Seven of Pentacles – the card of waiting for the harvest. The message of this card indicates the Universal Law (read: lifehack) of sowing and reaping. If you’ve been conscientious about wedding prep but the responses or results you want haven’t appeared, be patient with yourself and others. On the other hand, if you’ve done your due diligence and decided that you’ve invested your energy in the wrong places, no worries – move on and sow your energy elsewhere. Your BridePride Day falls on 9 January (Venus, the planetary ruler of love, moves into Pisces from 5 January till 3 February). Celebrate your day and the New Year with dreams, optimism and romance – just how you like it!
