There is a kind of knowing that arrives before the mind catches up. It does not knock. It does not introduce itself. It simply is — the way you know when someone has entered a room without turning around to look.

I have been living inside this kind of knowing since I was five years old.

I.   The Monastery

I was a chatty, sunny child. My parents will tell you I was not much given to brooding. So when my mother brought home a comic book — Tintin in Tibet — and I went wide-eyed and silent, the room noticed.

Then I began to scream.

Not the tantrum of a child who wants a toy, or who is tired, or who has been told no. This was something older, primitive, almost feral. I held the comic book open to an illustration of a Tibetan Buddhist monastery and I pointed at it and I sobbed hysterically, over and over: This is my home. Take me home. I want to go home.

My mother had to promise — solemnly, as you would promise a grieving adult — that she would pack my bags and buy me an air ticket. Only then did I stop crying. That night, I fell asleep uneasily: still sniffling, still holding the book.

My soul remembered what my five-year-old mind had no words for.

This is, I believe, why I have always worked so naturally with Tibetan deities — Tara, Marici, Hayagriva, the dharma protectors. The rapport never needed to be built. It simply resumed.

II.   The Temple

By 2017, major brands had begun approaching me to read Tarot for large-scale events — work I had not expected, and that now arrived all at once. I was glad. I was also apprehensive.

At this juncture, Hanuman came. Not as concept or aspiration. He came and guided me through meditations, patient and precise, the way a teacher guides a student who has temporarily forgotten what they know.

His message: Remember who you are.

In one of those meditations, I was an old temple priest. Skeletally thin, my long hair and beard silver-white, I went about bare-chested in a humble white dhoti. The temple I served was vast — its walls a muted coral pink. Behind it, a row of mountains. Within its grounds, large pools where people washed and drank from their healing waters. So many monkeys, moving freely through the space as though they owned it. At night I slept on a sackcloth on the stone floor, in a small room at the back. I died there, of tuberculosis, in my sleep.

I did not know at the time that this temple exists.

I found out years later: the Galtaji Temple in Jaipur, known for its coral-pink walls (now faded to yellow ochre), its mountain backdrop, its sacred kunds, its famous monkey population. In my meditations, I had seen it in such precise and embodied detail — the specific hue of its walls, the monkeys chattering as I shooed them away with a broom made of twigs — that when I encountered images of Galtaji, the sense I felt was not wonder.

It was confirmation.

III.   The Immortal Beloved

In 2022, I was recovering from surgery. A request came in that I was not ready for. I was not at my best. Every instinct said no.

But a still, small voice — distinct from my own thoughts, as different as a bell is different from the room it rings in — told me to go. I recognised its divinity. And so I went.

The moment I set eyes on him, I knew.

I knew — with the same kind of knowing as a five-year-old holding a comic book and weeping for home — that he was perfect. He was home.

And I was married to him in another life.

The soul does not second-guess itself. It does not weigh evidence or hedge its conclusions. When it recognises something, the recognition is total and immediate and beyond argument. I have experienced this several times in my life. Each time, the knowing arrived first. Reality followed.

This is what I bring into every session with every client. Not a system I learned. Not a skill I developed through practice alone, though the practice has been life-long and soul-deep. A mode of perception that guided me long before I had language for it — that has been confirmed, again and again, by the world catching up to a kind of knowing I always had.

When you sit in session with me, you are not consulting a spiritual practitioner. You are sitting with someone who has been doing this across lifetimes. The only thing that changes is the form.
