This week’s major event in the skies is the end of a retrograde: on 18 September, Saturn – aka The Lord of Karma – stations direct in Capricorn, and starts moving forward again. The Saturn retrograde began in April; look at where Capricorn falls in your birth chart and you’ll see how/where this retrograde impacted your life.
Sober Saturn is the cosmic teacher of karmic lessons. When it retrogrades, we are advised to review our boundaries, especially where we draw the line between right and wrong, good and evil, wise and foolish, light and dark. If you’d made the right choices, you would’ve been fine. Those who made the wrong choices are probably still licking their wounds – Saturn takes no prisoners when it comes to meting out karmic realignment.
Retrogrades aren’t all bad; you just need to work with them.
Capricorn falls in the area of my birth chart relating to personal finances, a strong birth-chart position for practical Capricorn. During the Saturn retrograde, I learnt wonderful lessons about how to manage – and grow – my personal investments. I received Saturn’s stern instructions humbly and gratefully, then put them to good use. I’m happy to share that this retrograde ends with me in an even more empowered position with my finances! Thanks to the Saturn retrograde, great blessings of abundance await me in the future.
Work with retrogrades, not against them, and blessing will come for you.
Let’s get to the reading!
LEFT: TEN OF CUPS. This is the Happy Ever After of the Tarot! Indicating great happiness, and fulfilment, the Ten of Cups can also signify the joyous closure of a major cycle. Your blessing is at hand. Reach out and grab it! In addition, this is a good week to connect with your nearest and dearest if you’ve been unable to do so lately.
MIDDLE: THE STAR REVERSED. If you’ve been stuck in a hopeless situation for a long time, this card advises you to get realistic about it. Seek help. There’s nothing wrong with needing assistance to address a challenging issue. Letting go of someone/something is also a solution – it could be time to move on.
When this card appears in reverse, examine your life for leaks and imbalances. Whoever or whatever is draining you of your time, energy, finances etc – deal with it.
RIGHT: DEATH. This is going to be a significant week for some of you! The themes of closure and letting go are reaffirmed strongly when Death comes into the picture. Major change and transformation are on their way. Your best bet is to work with them and roll with the punches.
Play your cards right, and you’ll be getting rid of some major baggage this week.
GODDESS GUAN YIN DIVINATION
LOT NUMBER: 78
Stop heating the water before it boils.
Keep it just right – neither too hot nor too cold.
You want a life where all things are done appropriately.
Turn your skills and talents into a source of support!
(Trans. Tan Kelly)
Despite the upheavals that could be coming your way, the situation is favourable overall. When this lot is drawn, things are stable and your blessing is at hand; so no worries, roll with Death’s punches and you’ll certainly get your Ten of Cups happiness.
The traditional explanation of this lot states that the prisoner is pardoned; the patient meets a good doctor; he who heeds his benefactor’s advice will find good fortune. You’ll notice all these situations indicate relief after a time of complexities and challenges. The poem itself illustrates the wisdom of three actions: doing all things in moderation, seeking fair and appropriate outcomes for one’s efforts, and taking the initiative to create solutions to your challenges.
Do this, and you are likely to receive wonderful outcomes.
Don’t fear change. Sail through the storm.
Behind it lies your promised land.
Have a great week ahead!
