Tremendous energy shifts are underway. Many of us are experiencing major changes, endings, and upheavals, with the promise of new beginnings rising before us like the dawn of a new day.
I’m excited, and I hope you are too. Let’s get to the reading!
LEFT: THE HANGED MAN.When The Hanged Man appears, it’s time to change your perspective on things – or risk having your world turned upside down. As Key 12 of the Major Arcana, The Hanged Man indicates a situation where things are out of your control, so don’t stress yourself out unnecessarily trying to wrest back a semblance (or assumption) of power that you never really had in the first place.
The Hanged Man is a reminder that the Universe does not revolve around us. Believe, darlings. The Universe is a sentient consciousness in Her own right; Her plans and purposes are greater than ours, and sometimes it’s best to trust a Higher Power to get things sorted.
MIDDLE: THE EMPRESS. Every Tarot reader, over time, develops their own personal relationship – and vocabulary – with their working deck. My trusty Tarot deck and I have worked out that when the Empress appears, especially in the middle of a spread, the Goddess is here. She is making Her presence profoundly known this week, as a means of reassuring us that She is in our midst. She is ready to help and guide, once we are willing to listen and obey.
If you don’t particularly resonate with the energies of the Goddess, you could interpret this card as a manifestation of the Universe Herself. I’d also read this Empress as a call to self-care, self-love, and a gentle approach to matters. A nurturing female energy (this is usually a woman, but can sometimes also indicate a man who’s in touch with his feminine side), typically someone who’s in a position of authority, could play a significant role in events this week.
RIGHT: EIGHT OF PENTACLES.The first two cards are Major Arcana, indicating a certain level of destined developmentsthis week – no, it doesn’t mean that our lives are necessarily fixed, but rather that our earlier actions, aka karma, have produced outcomes that many of us will be reaping and/or responding to this week.
(And that’s the karmic feedback loop for you.)
This third card, the Eight of Pentacles, is the last piece of the Tarot puzzle this week. As a Minor Arcanum, its focus is on human action, and can be considered our advice card in this spread.
When the Eight of Pentacles appears, FOCUS. The tasks at hand demand your immediate attention. Get to work! Control your desires; discipline your mind. Put aside idle thoughts, and let your practical efforts produce results you can be proud of.
Some of you could benefit from making a decision soon about a training course, or pursuing some form of higher education.
Goddess Guan Yin Divination
LOT NUMBER: 33
Priceless treasures are hidden nearby;
You search everywhere, but in vain.
Why not wait for the one who knows?
His advice will put your mind at ease.
(Trans. Tan Kelly)
This week, the Goddess repeats a recent divination lot (lot 33 appeared two weeks ago). In the realm of Spirit, repetition is one powerful way of bringing a very important point across, so consider yourselves informed! She reminds us that blessing is just around the corner, nearer to us than we can imagine, but only hidden for now.
We are advised to keep our spirits strong, and never to give up on our pursuit of the highest and greatest good. Lot 33, in particular, mentions that help will arrive and bring us the peace of mind we desire. This helper could be human or Divine. Keep your heart open to possibilities.
REMEMBER THAT HAPPINESS IS NOT ONLY THE DESTINATION, BUT ALSO THE JOURNEY;
NOT ONLY THE TROPHY, BUT ALSO THE BATTLES WE FIGHT.
KEEP FIGHTING. NEVER GIVE UP.
Have a great week ahead!
