Live and love with all your heart, but don’t afraid to ask the hard questions.
So many of us are afraid of knowing the truth, especially when it comes to things that really matter:
Does she love me back?
Will I ever find a job after being retrenched?
Is that lump cancerous?
And so we hide. We pretend we don’t care, or we swing to the other extreme and begin to obsess. Anything but seek the truth, accept it, and then move forward.
We’re afraid the truth will hurt us.
And unfortunately, sometimes the truth does hurt. But not always – who is to say you won’t like what you hear? Also, when we have the courage to see the truth for what it is, the truth hurts in order to heal us – from our anxieties, our despair, our delusions.
dear ones, you have nothing to fear.
seek the truth. And the truth will set you free.
Let’s get to this week’s reading!
LEFT: THREE OF CUPS. Here’s a nice start to our reading! The Three of Cups speaks of friendship, celebration, and joy coming your way. This card sometimes also serves as a gentle reminder to be discriminating in our choice of friends and confidantes: the lady in red (with her back turned to us) has been traditionally interpreted as a third party and/or false friend.
MIDDLE: KING OF PENTACLES REVERSED. And here’s why I mention the need to be discerning – the King of Pentacles, in reverse, represents someone in your life who could be playing a role in events this week. This person over-promises, under-delivers, and has issues with control and responsibility; possibly they’re the sort who has issues with being honest while they’re trying desperately to save face. Keep ’em at a distance and stick with those who are truly on your side.
Remember that a good friend/ally is someone who’s honest with themselves. People who can’t honour their own truth will disrespect yours. You don’t need that kind of energy in your life.
RIGHT: THE SUN. Another card of happiness! Besides being my favourite card in the Tarot, The Sun represents success, clarity, and the opportunity for truth to be revealed. It’s possible that something you needed to know will finally come out in the open this week. Set the intention that you will discover what you are meant to learn and grow from, that this revelation will be timely and appropriate, and that the highest good will be achieved.
WISDOM OF THE ORACLE
PEACE. This week’s energies encourage us to seek peace and to make peace in everything we do. The path to peace is found through a radical and courageous acceptance of what we are facing in our lives – not resignation or fatalism, but a deep knowing that the Universe never gives us more than we can handle.
Peace be upon you. It’s going to be okay.
UNFINISHED SYMPHONY. Whatever you’re dealing with at the moment screams Unfinished business! You’re coming to a point where a cycle is nearing completion, and it’s important for your own peace of mind to tie up loose ends where you can. Come clean about your feelings and your role in what has happened. Release forgiveness. Then let go.
Joy comes when we release baggage. It’s about time, yes?
BUILDING BLOCKS. Life is a constant work in progress, and this card serves as a lovely reminder that even when we think it’s all over, it rarely ever is – the essence of things merely takes on a different form. Our job is to work on creating and strengthening the foundations within us so that new developments which enter our lives can be adequately supported to ensure optimal benefit.
Have a great week ahead!
