And I’m dancin’ on to your heartbeat
And when you’re gone, I feel incomplete
So if you want the truth
Will you hold me tight and not let go?
Like a love song on the radio
Will you hold me tight and not let go?”
Part of my Lightwork portfolio is that of psychic medium: I connect with spirits of the dead. When people are grieving their deceased loved ones, they come to me for answers. I pass on messages from the Other Side to bring healing and closure for all involved.
Many, many times, the deceased loved ones say very similar things. They all wished they were more courageous, loving, and open. Less fearful, judgemental, and proud. They ALL wished they said some things a lot more often. Such as:
I LOVE YOU. I’M SORRY. THANK YOU. I never meant to hurt you. I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY.
If you’re reading this and there’s someone who comes to mind, don’t wait until that person is gone. Some things are very difficult to heal from, and regret is one of them.
Reach out to someone you love, someone you need to forgive, someone you want to thank.
Do it. Life is too short for regrets.
Now, on to the reading. You’ll notice that this week, TWO of the three Tarot cards are Major Arcana (indicating that destiny plays a more significant role than usual in this week’s events), and they are ALL in reverse. The sense I’m getting is that the Universe is challenging some of us to revisit the assumptions that underpin our perspectives of life.
Do you believe that you deserve love? Happiness? respect? Peace of mind?
What holds you back from attaining what you desire?
Is it time to reach out to someone?
LEFT: THE STAR REVERSED. This card represents hope after a period of struggle; when ill-dignified, your hope is left in limbo. The promise of a better life is right there, just within reach if you’re willing to stretch beyond your comfort zone. What will you choose – to reach out and risk joy, or stay in familiar misery?
MIDDLE: THE LOVERS REVERSED. Options are always available, even if they’re not always the best. What’s important is that you show up for them. That you’re fully present and responsible for the choices you make. This situation you’re facing could literally be about love and relationships; it also pertains to any challenge you’re facing (career, friendships, spirituality etc) that requires you to take a stand in the interests of your own happiness.
RIGHT: ACE OF CUPS REVERSED. Again, the potential for an emotional and spiritual breakthrough is here for you. Love, light and healing are within reach – but once again, with this card in reverse, you’ll have to overcome certain obstacles (mainly within yourself) that hinder your path towards the beautiful life you desire. You’ll have to decide what (or who) in your life is worth going out on a limb for. Be brave, and be blessed.
“And when you’re gone, I feel incomplete. so if you want the truth…”
WISDOM OF THE ORACLE
A CHANGE IN THE WIND. The energies of change and transformation are here for you, if you’re willing to take the risk and (finally) take the actions that reflect your authenticity. Is it scary? Yes. Confusing? Certainly. With every change in the wind, you’ll get dust in your eyes – looking ahead will be difficult, and the tears won’t stop falling for a while.
But consider the alternative: resistance to change. Being stubborn, proud, and terrified of what others might say. Will you truly be happy?
EXCHANGING GIFTS. This card speaks of the Spiritual Law of Giving and Receiving, highlighting the need for fairness in the energetic flow of all your relationships. Who’s holding back? Who’s giving too much? Is it time to let down your guard, reach out, communicate, and address certain issues? Could it be as simple as telling someone you care?
CHOP WOOD. Whatever you choose to do this week, maintain a steady and consistent pace. If healing or reconciliation is what you seek, understand that one session with a therapist or one long, heartfelt talk isn’t going to suffice. This is a process. It requires continued effort, the laying on of strong foundations for the bright new future you’ve been dreaming of.
Not easy. Not fun. But worth it in the end.
Death comes for all of us, darlings. One day, all your hopes and aspirations and petty fights and stupid goals will be nothing but dust and shadows. When it comes to the crunch, very few things in life actually matter – and they are mostly matters of the heart.
“Will you hold me tight and not let go?”
Have a wonderful week. If you have the time, check out the music video of ‘Symphony’, the song I quoted at the start of this article. It’s a beautiful depiction of love, grief, and how our deceased loved ones watch over us.
