Darlings, so much happening this week – here we go, in point form:
*1 July: So many things were happening in the big leagues that I felt it wasn’t the best time to mention this, but I will now – Chiron, the comet with a uniquely volatile orbit, goes retrograde in Pisces until 6 December. Chiron is known in mythology as the Wounded Healer and it represents our deepest wounds (most notably in our self-esteem), which we must heal and overcome in order to attain our full potential. During this retrograde, unexpected challenges might surface, sometimes accompanied by physical illness.
Healing with Chiron requires honesty, the wisdom to accept conflicting views, and the ability to release what no longer serves us.
4 July: Love + partnership planet Venus enters Gemini, the Celestial Communicator, and cosies up here for a few weeks. This is a good time to talk about where your relationships are headed – both in the personal and professional/public domains.
Btw, 4 July 2017 marks the first year since I officially launched Kelly, Lightworker. Also, happy Independence Day to my American readers!
5 July: Communication planet Mercury marches into fearless Leo and roars away happily for the next couple of weeks here. This amps up the courage quotient for many so yes, do have That Talk. Advice? Prep well and don’t be sidetracked by melodrama (it’s Cancer season now so some might get emotional, and anything to do with Leo could have drama queen tendencies if not handled well.)
6 July: The life-giving Sun in Cancer forms a trine with fantasy-driven Neptune (now retrograde) in dreamy Pisces, but also gets ensnared in a square with expansive Jupiter in fair-minded Libra. What this means: be kind, very kind, to yourself and other people today. Speak gently: some folks are feeling extra sensitive. You might receive a reality check about a person, relationship or situation you had high hopes for; it might be time to tweak your perspectives + manage your expectations.
Now let’s get to This Week’s Tarot!
LEFT: TEN OF PENTACLES REVERSED. This card represents the joys of family, wealth, and heritage. Upside-down, tensions may be brewing at home over financial matters and/or other practical issues such as housing, investments, or health. Family-oriented Cancer season is in full swing right now, and this is one sign that can be badly affected when things are not going well on the home front. Emotions could get out of hand, so be mindful when interacting with your nearest and dearest.
MIDDLE: FIVE OF CUPS. This card symbolises both the bleakness of disappointment, as well as the potential for hope. The figure in this card mourns three spilt cups of wine, but is oblivious to the two other cups of wine behind him. The message: we can choose to grieve for what we think we’ve lost, or we can choose to shift our perspectives and work with whatever can be redeemed from a difficult situation.
Both options are right in their own ways, but only one offers us the grace and power to move forward. The choice is yours.
RIGHT: THE STAR. This card is a positive sign, and a lovely card to receive – it represents the return of hope, the light at the end of the tunnel. Again, the Tarot invites us to choose hope, and to work towards the outcomes we desire by being mindful of our own attitudes, behaviours and choices.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
